GRAVUS: The First Hand-Engraved Case by Alexander Shorokhoff

For the first time, “Alexander Shorokhoff” presents an artistic pocket watch in a waterproof 925 silver case with a hand-engraved case and curved, anti-reflective sapphire glass. The new rarity model “Gravus” combines traditional craftsmanship with modern hand engravings in a beautiful combination. The result is a fascinating contrast: a modern dial embedded in a classic pocket watch case engraved by hand with a “Scrolls pattern.”

Classical engraving or guilloché is one of the traditional values of watchmaking. It is characterized by elegance, high quality, and usually symmetrical patterns that form the overall image of the engraving. For years, “Alexander Shorokhoff” has also dedicated itself to fine hand engraving.

In the unique piece “Gravus,” the center of the dial is selectively worked with a graver to create a shimmering surface. The Roman numerals are hand-engraved, and the dial is then gold-plated. The contrast between gold and silver recalls bygone eras and the era of vintage watches. This color combination exudes a special elegance and emphasizes the vintage style. The blued hands enhance this nostalgic feeling.

The watch is designed for true connoisseurs. It fits in the vest or pants pocket and is only taken out when one wants to relax and fully enjoy craftsmanship. At that moment, time takes a back seat, and the joy of highly precise craftsmanship takes center stage.

The watch comes with a Milanese chain made of genuine 925 silver, perfectly matching the fully engraved and gold-plated dial. It can be attached to the wearer’s clothing with a small carabiner. The movement 3105.AS is a replica of the Swiss Valjoux 7734 (without chronograph construction) and has been completely disassembled, hand-engraved, refined, reassembled, and certified by “Alexander Shorokhoff.” This masterpiece is also visible on the back of the watch through a sapphire glass. “Gravus” is limited to only 1 piece.
